What a night for the Houston Astros. Yuli Gurriel drove in 3 runs, the Astros scored 5 runs in the 9th inning, and the Astros came back to shock the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 7-5 win. This was the Astros first visit to Dodger Stadium since being punished for illegally stealing signs in the 2017 season, during which the Astros beat the Dodgers in 7 games for their first world series title.

The Astros got the scoring started in the first inning, when Gurriel hit an RBI single to make it 1-0. In the second inning, Chris Taylor hit a two run homer and Kike Hernandez hit a solo shot to get the Dodgers on the board and give them a 3-1 lead. In the 3rd, AJ Pollock hit a sac fly, and Corey Seager hit an RBI single in the 5th inning to make it 5-1 Dodgers. It stayed that way until the 8th, when Gurriel grounded out, scoring Alex Bregman and making it 5-2. In the 9th, Josh Reddick hit a two run double, then scored on a fielding error, Bregman hit an RBI single, and Gurriel hit a sac fly to make it 7-5 Astros.

Ryan Pressly got the win for the Astros, throwing a scoreless 9th inning. Pressly's record moves to 1-2 on the season with the win. Framber Valdez got the start for the Astros, throwing 5 innings and getting a no decision. Valdez allowed 5 runs on 5 hits and one walk, striking out 7 hitters. Humberto Castellanos, Cionel Perez, and Josh James also pitched for the Astros.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said after the game that "That was the win of the year, hopefully, we look back on this as the turning point of our season. Things have been very tough, like we haven't had a whole bunch of breaks. We kind of made our breaks today, if we win these two games, the rest of the road trip seems like it doesn't matter.''

Kenley Jansen was hit with the loss for the Dodgers, falling to 3-1 on the season. Jansen was unable to record an out in his appearance in the 9th inning. Jansen was very upset about it, saying after the game that it was ''Just a nightmare, man. This feels terrible, I'm ahead of the count on everyone and I just didn't execute well.''

The series continues on Saturday, and Dave Roberts hasn't announced a starter for the Dodgers, instead saying it will be a bullpen game. Zack Greinke will start for the Astros.
