Seattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis and Milwaukee Brewers reliever Devin Williams have won rookie of the year for their respective leagues. Williams received 14 first place votes, while Lewis got 30, winning unanimously.

Lewis is the 12th rookie of the year in the American League to win unanimously, joining players like Carlton Fisk, Sandy Alomar Jr, Mark McGwire, Derek Jeter, and Nomar Garciaparra, among others. Lewis is also the first Mariner to win rookie of the year since Ichiro Suzuki in 2001. Lewis hit .262 with 11 homers and 28 RBI in 58 games played for the Mariners this season, also featuring some spectacular defensive plays in center field.

Williams was also named the top rookie in the NL, and the NL reliever of the year, in addition to rookie of the year. Williams had a dominating year out of the bullpen, to the tune of a 4-1 record with a 0.33 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 27 innings of work. Williams also only allowed one run all season, a solo homer in his second appearance of the year. Williams is the first Brewer to win the award since Ryan Braun in 2017.

Cristian Javier of the Astros came in 3rd place, garnering 11 third place votes. A's catcher Sean Murphy and Tigers shortstop Willi Castro came in 4th and 5th respectively.
