The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to boost their already good bullpen. The Dodgers have signed RHP Tommy Kahnle to a two year, $4.25 million deal, according to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. Kahnle will earn $750,000 in 2021 and $3.45 million in 2022, and his deal includes a $550,000 signing bonus. There is also $750,000 in bonuses available during the 2022 season. The Dodgers have confirmed the deal.

Kahnle only appeared in one game for the Yankees in 2020, before undergoing Tommy John Surgery. In 2019, Kahnle posted a 3-2 record with a 3.67 ERA, striking out 88 hitters and throwing 61 1/3 innings in 72 relief appearances for the Yankees. In Kahnle's 7 major league seasons, He has a 9-9 record with a 3.82 ERA, throwing 277 2/3 innings in 285 appearances, all in relief. Kahnle has spent his major league career with the Colorado Rockies and Chicago White Sox before joining the Yankees.

Kahnle underwent Tommy John Surgery after one appearance with the Yankees in 2020, which means Kahnle's earliest return date is late in the 2021 season, but it is more likely he will miss the entire season, putting his return date for the start of spring training in 2022.

The Dodgers have a very dangerous bullpen lined up for 2021 as they ready themselves for the title defense. Kenley Jansen, Brusdar Graterol, Adam Kolarek, and Dylan Floro are apart of the returning cast, while Kahnle and Corey Knebel have been added to the bullpen this winter.
