Get ready Minnesota, there's another Acuna coming to the major leagues in due time. The Minnesota Twins and infield prospect Bryan Acuna have agreed to a contract as the international signing period opens, according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com. The deal is worth $650,000 and has not been confirmed by the Twins.

Acuna will sign with the Twins as a shortstop out of Venezuela, and was ranked as the 39th overall international prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. He's the younger brother of Atlanta Braves phenom Ronald Acuna Jr, although Bryan plays the infield. Bryan joins Ronald Jr and Jose Acuna as family members playing baseball at the major and minor league level.

The youngest Acuna signed with the Twins as a shortstop, and is an agressive player and playmaker while on the field. His baseball IQ, awareness, and feel for the game is what attracted the Twins to him. Although scouts project he may have to shift over to second base at some point in his career, he should make up for that with his bat.

The big calling card for Bryan, as previously alluded to, is his bat. His swing is already strikingly similar to Ronald Jr in Atlanta, and his hit tool is a high mark for his age, as he is a 16 year old. Even better, his power at the plate will only continue to grow as he progresses through the Twins system, although it is unclear whether he'll start at the DSL or FCL.

Bryan Acuna signing with the Twins is another name in a so far impressive international signing class for the Twins, who have also brought in top international prospects Yasser Mercedes, Yilber Herrera, Harold Grant, Jose Rodriguez, Anderson Nova, Juan Zapata, and Ledwin Taveras.
