While one member of the Atlanta Braves postseason run in Jorge Soler is gone, another one is back. The Braves and OF Eddie Rosario have agreed to a two year, $18 million deal, with a club option for 2024, according to an announcement by the Braves.

Rosario won the hearts of Braves fans thanks to his torrid performance in the 2021 NLCS, winning series MVP as the Braves took down the juggernaut Los Angeles Dodgers in 6 games. With Rosario back in the fold, the Braves have found their middle of the order lefty outfielder that they were looking for, that can make frequent contact.

Braves president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos said that "What he did with us was well above what he had done in his career. So I don’t think it’s fair to expect that. But if you look consistently at his time with the Twins, he had high .700s and low .800s OPS, low strikeouts and power. That’s a quality player to have."

Last season, combined with the Cleveland Indians and Braves, Rosario finished the regular season with a .259 batting average and .435 slugging percentage with a .740 OPS, hitting 14 home runs with 62 RBI's in 111 games, 78 with Cleveland, and 33 with Atlanta.

In his career, spanning 7 seasons and 3 teams, Rosario has a .275 average with a .473 slugging percentage and .782 OPS, hitting 133 home runs to go with 450 RBI's in 808 regular season games. Rosario has a career .337 average with a .993 OPS, hitting 5 home runs and driving in 14 in 22 career playoff games.

Rosario joins a Braves outfield mix that includes Adam Duvall, Guillermo Heredia, Alex Dickerson, and Marcell Ozuna, with phenom Ronald Acuna Jr set to return around late April. Rosario joins Matt Olson, Kenley Jansen, and Collin McHugh as new additions to the Braves this offseason.
