When things are going wrong for a team, they're going really wrong. Bryce Harper hit the game tying grand slam, Bryson Stott hit the game winning homer, and the Philadelphia Phillies rallied to defeat the Los Angeles Angels with a 9-7 victory on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.

With the win, the Phillies pulled off a shocking sweep of the Angels, having won all 3 games against the Angels, and 4 straight wins overall. They were trailing 6-2 entering the 8th inning, and got a few real big swings to get them back in it, and get them the win.

On the flip side, the Angels are in a state of free fall. After what was termed as a gut wrenching loss, the Angels have fallen out of a playoff spot after being swept. They've now lost 11 straight games, dropping under .500 on the season, sitting at a 27-28 record.

Angels manager Joe Maddon said of the collapse that "We've lost a lot of tough ones and it really makes no sense. We got the right guys out there and the right time. And again, we gave it up late. We have to get that fixed. I loved the fight but we have to finish these games off, and that's a big part of the situation we're in right now."

Starting the scoring in the 4th was the Angels, who jumped out to a 5-0 lead. Jared Walsh hit a two run single, Jo Adell hit an RBI infield single, Kurt Suzuki hit an RBI single, and Brandon Marsh scored on a fielders choice, capping off a big inning of scoring for the Angels.

In the 5th, Rhys Hoskins scored on a sac fly, and Bryce Harper scored on a groundout, getting the Phillies on the board and making it a 5-2 game. In the top of the 8th, Marsh hit an RBI single to make it 6-2 Angels. In the bottom half, Harper demolished a grand slam to the upper deck, tying the game 6-6. After Matt Duffy gave the Angels a 7-6 lead in the top of the 9th, Stott hit a walk off 3 run homer in the bottom half, making it a 9-7 Phillies win.

Harper said of Stott's walk off hit that "Everyone talks about friends and things like that, but he’s part of the inner circle that I call friends. Hanging out with him on Saturdays, Sundays watching football. It’s a really cool moment. For our whole family, too. What a moment. What a moment for him, the fans, the organization. Everybody. Bryson put us on his back."

Corey Knebel got the win for the Phillies, despite allowing one run in the 9th inning. Kyle Gibson got the start, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits in 3 1/3 innings. Nick Nelson, Cristopher Sanchez, and Jeurys Familia also pitched in this one.

Jimmy Herget got the loss and the blown save for the Angels, giving up the walk off in the 9th. Patrick Sandoval was the starter, being charged with two runs on 4 hits across 4 2/3 innings of work. Relief appearances came from Herget, Jose Quijada, Ryan Tepera, Aaron Loup, and Raisel Iglesias in the loss.

Up next, the Angels get back in action on Monday night against the Boston Red Sox, with Noah Syndergaard getting the series opening start. After a day off on Monday, the Phillies take on the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday, with Ranger Suarez starting.
