Sometimes all you need is one big inning for everything to work out. Rowdy Tellez drove in two runs, Brice Turang had a two RBI game, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Seattle Mariners 5-3 on Wednesday in Seattle.

All 5 of the Brewers runs came in the 7th inning as they rode their way to a win to end the series. They secured a sweep as well, having won 4 games in a row and 7 of their last 10. It was the two run hit from Turang that put the Brewers ahead for good.

Turang said of his hit that "Gonzales pitched well, but it wasn’t the end of the game. We went out there and competed. You can’t take at-bats into at-bats, and I thought we did a phenomenal job coming back off of us obviously struggling a little bit. We came back and competed, and we won."

Julio Rodriguez got the Mariners the lead in the 3rd inning. He blasted a two run home run to left field, making it 2-0 Mariners early. In the 7th inning, Luke Voit broke the ice for the Brewers, hitting an RBI single to cut the deficit to 2-1. That led to Turang, who hit a two run single that put the Brewers ahead 3-2 as Brian Anderson and Jesse Winker scored.

Later in the 7th, Tellez padded the Brewers lead, hitting a two run single that scored both Voit and Turang to make it a 5-2 Brewers lead. In the 9th inning, the Mariners got a run back thanks to Jarred Kelenic, who singled to center field. That scored Ty France to make it 5-3, but the Brewers closed out the win from there.

It was Eric Lauer on the mound for the Brewers, who turned in a great start. Lauer allowed two runs on 4 hits and a walk over 7 2/3 innings to get the win. Peter Strzelecki got the next two outs before Matt Bush got the final two outs to get the save.

Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell said "We got a really great pitching performance from Eric Lauer. There’s days when you come to the park where you really need your starter, and length from him is really important. Delivered a gem, I thought. He made a lot of pitches today. To get that deep in the game was sorely needed, for sure."

It was Marco Gonzales who started for the Mariners, pitching 6 scoreless innings before allowing the first two runs of the 7th. Matt Brash came on and was responsible for the other 3, getting hit with the loss. Trevor Gott and Tayler Saucedo pitched in relief after Brash.

Seattle manager Scott Servais said "We're very capable of beating these teams. I think coming into the series, the way we were playing, we felt really good about our chances of winning the series. They executed better than we did, they walk out of here with three wins."

Up next, the Brewers host the Boston Red Sox on Friday, with Freddy Peralta starting. The Mariners host the St. Louis Cardinals, with George Kirby getting the start.
