There's nothing quite like Soler power. Luis Arraez drove in a run, Jorge Soler hit a key homer, and the Miami Marlins rallied to defeat the San Francisco Giants with a 4-3 victory on Monday night in Miami.

The Marlins were trailing 3-0 before scoring 4 unanswered runs to pick up the win. They've won 6 of their last 10 games and are 9-8 to open the season. The win was thanks to Soler, who wasn't even in the lineup to start the game.

Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said of Soler that "When he's right, he's as potent as anybody in that offense in the middle of the order, and we need him to go. And when he goes, we win. He's won us a few games already, just by himself, and he can carry a team for a month straight, that type of thing. Credit to him and the work ethic he's had and continues to have so far during the season."

The Giants jumped out to an early lead in the second inning. Heliot Ramos hit an RBI double to score Joey Bart and make it 1-0 Giants. In the top of the 3rd, David Villar hit a two run double, scoring Darin Ruf and Wilmer Flores to make the lead 3-0. In the bottom of the 3rd, Jazz Chisholm Jr got the Marlins on the board with an RBI single, cutting the deficit to 3-1.

A few innings later, in the 6th, the Marlins got another run back. Arraez hit an RBI single that scored Chisholm Jr to cut the deficit to 3-2. In the 7th inning, Soler came off the bench to pinch hit for Garrett Hampson. Soler made the most of his at bat, blasting a two run home run to give the Marlins a 4-3 lead that held for good.

Schumaker said of Soler's homer that "I told him that he was going to be available on a day off but be available to pinch-hit, and he was ready. I don't think he thought it was going to be against Webb, I'll be honest with you. One of the reasons why he didn't play today. Just a testament to him still having confidence that he can do it, even though he really struggles against Webb."

Jesus Luzardo started for the Marlins, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and two walks in 4 1/3 innings. Andrew Nardi pitched the next 1 2/3 innings before Matt Barnes got the win with a scoreless 6th inning. Dylan Floro pitched a shutout 7th and AJ Puk did the same in the 8th inning.

It was Logan Webb who started for the Giants, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits and no walks in 6 2/3 innings, striking out 8 hitters while getting the loss. Scott Alexander handled the next 1 1/3 innings, allowing only one hit.

Webb said of his start that "I felt good out there. Unfortunately, the results were the same in the first three. I know I haven’t done my job. We should have won the game today. Early lead, I messed it up. I’m just not doing my job."

Up next, the series continues on Tuesday night. Edward Cabrera gets the start for the Marlins, while the Giants counter with Alex Wood.
