You want a rally? Here's a rally. Ezequiel Tovar had two RBI's, Elias Diaz also drove in two runs, and the Colorado Rockies defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 9-6 on Thursday afternoon in Denver.

The win gives the Rockies a 3 game sweep of the Brewers, with the Rockies also having won 4 straight games to improve to 12-20 on the season. 4 different players for the Rockies each had two RBI's as the Rockies strung together a 4 run 7th inning and 5 run 8th inning to get the win.

Rockies infielder Brendan Rodgers said of the team's success that "It's been fun to watch. We had a bad April, but whatever, just flush it. It turned around for me last May, so it could turn around for this team."

Christian Yelich and Rowdy Tellez got the party started for the Brewers early, with each hitting solo home runs to make it 2-0 Brewers. In the 5th inning, Tyrone Taylor hit a solo home run, followed by a 6th inning RBI single from Victor Caratini, making it 4-0 Brewers. Tovar started the Rockies rally in the 7th with a two run double, and he then scored on a balk to make it 4-3. A sac fly from Diaz scored Brenton Doyle to tie the game 4-4.

Harold Castro kept the party going in the 8th inning for the Rockies, putting them ahead 6-4 with a two run single. Diaz then hit a sac fly to make it 7-4 before a two run single from Charlie Blackmon to make it a 9-4 game. Yelich and Jesse Winker then hit RBI singles in the 9th inning to cut the deficit to 9-6.

Mike Moustakas, a Rockies infielder, said that "With the talent we have on the field, it’s incredible. Early on in the season, guys are still feeling around, seeing who they are, seeing how the big leagues work. Now, guys are settling in and getting comfortable."

Getting the start for the Rockies was Connor Seabold, who allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings in a no decision. Nick Mears pitched the next two innings before Brad Hand got the win with a scoreless 8th inning. Pierce Johnson sealed the win in the 9th inning.

It was Wade Miley who got the start for the Rockies, getting tagged for 3 runs while failing to record an out in the 7th inning. Joel Payamps finished the 7th, allowing a run before Peter Strzelecki got the loss in the 8th. Tyson Miller also pitched for the Brewers.

Strzelecki said of his meltdown in the 8th that "This place, I haven’t pitched well here, but I’ve got to make adjustments and be better. There’s no excuse for that. I let my team down twice, or three times, going back to last year. I’ll learn from this and do what I can to be better next time."

Up next, the Rockies head east to take on the New York Mets on Friday, with Antonio Senzatela getting the start. The Brewers go to the west coast to face the San Franciso Giants, with Corbin Burnes starting game one of the series.
