Things are kicking into gear right now for this team. Patrick Bailey homered and drove in two runs, Michael Conforto had 3 RBI's, and the San Francisco Giants routed the St. Louis Cardinals with a 11-3 win on Tuesday night in St. Louis.

After scoring 13 runs on Sunday, the Giants hung 11 on the Cardinals on Tuesday. Combined with 4 runs on Monday, the Giants have scored 28 runs over the duration of their 3 game winning streak, also having won 7 of their last 10 games. 3 run innings in the 5th and 6th innings opened up the lead.

Giants outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr said of the production at the plate that "Any time we can help our pitchers out like that, put up runs like that, it's awesome. Guys had a great game plan."

Conforto hit a two run double in the top of the first to make it 2-0 Giants. Paul Goldschmidt hit an RBI single and Dylan Carlson had an RBI fielders choice in the bottom of the first, tying the game 2-2. In the 3rd, an RBI single from Conforto made it 3-2 Giants. Bailey and Casey Schmitt hit RBI singles in the 5th inning to extend the lead to 5-2.

Later in the 5th, Mike Yastrzemski scored on a sac bunt to make the lead 6-2. In the 6th inning, Yastrzemski hit a two run home run and Bailey hit a solo shot, hitting back to back home runs to make it a 9-2 game. Jordan Walker hit an RBI double in the 8th for the Cardinals to make it a 9-3 score. Thairo Estrada hit an RBI single in the 9th and Wade Jr scored on a sac fly to make the final score 11-3 for the Giants.

Alex Cobb got the start for the Giants, allowing two runs on 5 hits and two walks over 4 innings pitched. Luke Jackson got the win with a scoreless 5th inning. Keaton Winn then came on for his major league debut, pitching the next 4 innings and allowing one run to get the long relief save.

It was Jack Flaherty who started for the Cardinals, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits in just 4 1/3 innings. Genesis Cabrera allowed 3 runs in 1 2/3 innings, with Jake Woodford allowing two runs in 2 1/3 innings. Drew VerHagen recorded the final two outs.

Flaherty said of his start that "Fastball command wasn’t great and it hasn’t been great all year, so we’ve been pitching around that. You feel like you get in a rhythm after a pretty long first and a quick second. You’re always looking to try and get in a rhythm, but they battled. That’s a good team, and that lineup scratches and claws. I’ve just got to execute better when I get in those spots."

Up next, the series concludes on Wednesday afternoon. The Giants go for the sweep with Anthony DeSclafani getting the start, with Jordan Montgomery starting for the Cardinals.
