No one can stop the team in Georgia right now. Orlando Arcia homered, Matt Olson drove in two runs, and the Atlanta Braves defeated the San Francisco Giants with a 7-3 victory on Saturday afternoon in San Francisco.

The red hot Braves have won 4 straight games and 8 of their last 10 to improve to 84-44 near the end of August. They also added two home runs at the plate, reaching 243 on the season. That is the most by one team through 128 games in baseball history.

Braves infielder Austin Riley said of the powerful offense that "You’re waiting to see who kind of goes off each night, and anybody can. Those days where you don’t have your best stuff, guys are right there behind you picking you up."

Matt Olson gave the Braves a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Riley scored on an RBI double. In the 3rd, he drove in Ronald Acuna Jr with an RBI single to make it a 2-0 game. In the bottom of the 3rd, Wilmer Flores tied the game for the Giants with a two run home run. Riley and Arcia then hit solo home runs in the 5th and 6th innings respectively to make it 4-2 Braves.

Eddie Rosario made it 5-2 in the 8th with a single that scored Olson. Marcell Ozuna then scored to make it 6-2 on a sac fly from Arcia. Rosario himself then scored on another sac fly, this one from Nicky Lopez, to make it a 7-2 game. Wade Meckler drove in a run in the 9th for the Giants to make it a 7-3 final score.

Max Fried got the start for the Braves, allowing two runs on 6 hits and two walks, striking out 8 hitters in 6 innings. Kirby Yates and Pierce Johnson each added a scoreless inning in relief before AJ Minter closed out the win despite allowing a run.

Fried credited the Braves offense after the game, saying "It makes it so I don't have to feel like I have to be perfect and go out there and throw up zeros every time. Obviously, I want to go out there and keep runs off the board. But knowing that if I have a little slip-up like today, as long as I keep my head down and just keep trying to put up some zeros, that they're gonna explode at any time."

Ryan Walker allowed one run in 1 2/3 innings for the Giants before Sean Manaea allowed two runs in 3 2/3 innings of work. Luke Jackson allowed a run in one inning before Taylor Rogers allowed a run as well. Jakob Junis pitched the final two innings, allowing two runs himself.

Giants manager Gabe Kapler said of the team's struggles that "A lot of it has to do with going up against some of the best offenses in baseball. Not some of the best offenses, but hot, good offenses. It’s tough to limit the run output. If you’re not going to limit the run output, you have to figure out a way to outscore, and we’re not doing that. It’s just not good enough against these really good teams. They’re just playing better baseball than us."

The series concludes on Sunday night. The Braves go for the sweep with Jared Shuster getting the start, while the Giants try to salvage a game as Tristan Beck starts.
