Series tied 1-1
They were only gonna be held down for so long. Austin Riley homered, Michael Harris made a game saving catch, and the Atlanta Braves rallied to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-4 on Monday night in Atlanta.

Once trailing 4-0, the Braves rallied for 5 runs to pull off the comeback win to tie the series. They did this without having an extra base hit until the 7th inning. That didn't seem to matter, as one of the league's best offenses finally found their groove again.

Braves catcher Travis D'Arnaud said "Every playoff win is exciting. I think the way it ended was one of the most exciting endings to a game I’ve ever seen as far as a defensive standpoint. We got Money Mike making a crazy catch on the wall and us doubling up Harper to close it out."

Alec Bohm started the scoring in the first inning, giving the Phillies a 1-0 lead on an RBI single that scored Trea Turner. In the 3rd inning, the Phillies tripled the lead, taking a 3-0 advantage on a two run home run from JT Realmuto. Bryson Stott made it 4-0 in the 5th with a sac fly that scored Nick Castellanos.

Ozzie Albies then got the Braves on the board in the 6th, hitting a single that, combined with an error, was able to score Ronald Acuna Jr to cut the deficit to 4-1. In the 7th, D'Arnaud delivered a two run home run to cut the deficit to 4-3. In the 8th inning, Riley put the Braves ahead for good with a two run home run to left field, making it 5-4 Braves.

In the 9th with one out, Castellanos came up for the Phillies with Bryce Harper at first. He stung a ball to right-center field, but Harris had a good jump and was on the move. He leapt at the wall to make the catch, and then got right back up and threw the ball back, with Riley ending up doubling off Harper at first to give the Braves a thrilling comeback win.

Harris said of his big catch that "I knew off the bat it was going to be close to the fence. I knew once I went back I wasn’t stopping. I was going to do anything I could to get a glove on it. If my body had to go down because of that, I would have done that."

Max Fried allowed 3 runs in his start for the Braves, lasting 4 innings. Kirby Yates allowed a run in the 5th. After that, Joe Jimenez, Pierce Johnson, AJ Minter, and Raisel Iglesias pitched 4 scoreless innings, with Iglesias getting his first save of the playoffs.

Zack Wheeler pitched 6 1/3 innings for the Phillies, allowing 3 runs. Jose Alvarado pitched the next inning before Jeff Hoffman gave up the home run to Riley while getting just one out. Gregory Soto came in and got the final out of the 8th inning.

Realmuto said after the game that "You get a lead against a team like that, you have to put them away. We just weren't able to do it today. We had plenty of opportunities with guys in scoring position to extend our lead. It just felt like every inning that we didn't do that, it gave them a little more chance and a little more momentum. We gave a run away there. We just didn't get it done. You have to do that stuff right early in the game to win against good teams like that."

After a day off on Tuesday, the series shifts to Philadelphia for games 3 and 4, with game 3 on Wednesday. Both teams are going for the 2-1 series lead, with Aaron Nola starting for the Phillies and no announced starter for the Braves.
