Texas wins series 3-0
The Rangers are on to the next one. Mitch Garver drove in a pair of runs, Adolis Garcia homered, and the Texas Rangers rolled past the Baltimore Orioles with a 7-1 victory on Tuesday night in Arlington.

With the win, the Rangers have swept their second straight series of the postseason, improving to 5-0 so far. That matches the longest postseason win streak in team history, and it's the first ALCS they've reached since 2011.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said after the game that "Even though you talk about it, to be here, you realize how fortunate, at least personally, I am to be sitting here and be part of this and be part of that team. Again, I can't say enough of what they did here the last week and really all year. So to be part of it, I'm blessed."

Corey Seager gave the Rangers an early lead in the first inning. He blasted a solo home run to right field to make it 1-0 Rangers. With the bases loaded in the second inning, Garver hit a two run double, padding the lead to 3-0. Garcia then broke the game open right after, hitting a 3 run home run to make it 6-0 Rangers.

It stayed 6-0 until the 5th inning. That was when Gunnar Henderson put the Orioles on the board, cutting the deficit to 6-1 with an RBI single that scored Jordan Westburg. In the bottom of the 6th inning, Nathaniel Lowe got that run back for the Rangers, hitting a solo home run to make it a 7-1 game.

Nathan Eovaldi toed the rubber for the Rangers and dominated on the mound, allowing one run while striking out 7 hitters in 7 innings. Aroldis Chapman worked 2/3 of an inning before Jose Leclerc got the final 4 outs of the game to win the series.

Eovaldi said of his performance that "To me, pitching wins championships. You've seen it across the league. Good pitching is able to neutralize a good lineup. I feel like that's what we've been able to do here lately. Moving forward, again, pitching, you can never have enough good starting pitching. I feel like that's been one of our big reasons for our success."

Dean Kremer started for the Orioles, allowing 6 runs while lasting just 1 2/3 innings. Tyler Wells pitched 1 1/3 innings before Kyle Gibson allowed a run in 3 innings pitched. DL Hall and Yennier Cano also pitched.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said "Really proud of our group. They defied all the odds. Nobody gave us a chance. These guys played their butts off for six months. This hurts, and it's OK to hurt. It's OK to have this fuel your fire in the offseason. It's going to take a while for us to get over this a little bit."

The Rangers advance to the ALCS, where they await the winner of the series between the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins. The Orioles have the offseason ahead of them after a 101 win regular season.
