They weren't done after Ohtani. The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired RHP Tyler Glasnow and OF Manuel Margot from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for RHP Ryan Pepiot and OF Jonny Deluca, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. The trade has been confirmed.

Glasnow is in the final year of his current contract, set to make $25 million. He signed a 5 year, $135 million contract with the Dodgers to delay his free agency by 4 years, as he was set to enter free agency at the end of 2024. Margot is under contract for $10 million in 2024, with the Rays sending $4 million to the Dodgers. Margot could hit free agency at the end of 2024.

Last season was a productive one for Glasnow when he was able to toe the rubber. He posted a 3.53 ERA, 2.91 FIP, and 1.083 WHIP, making 21 starts and throwing 120 innings. He allowed 4 runs in 5 innings in his one start in the playoffs, with the Rays losing in the wild card round.

The biggest problem with Glasnow has been staying healthy. He's dealt with an oblique strain, Tommy John Surgery, and a forearm injury. He had never made more than 15 starts in a season until his 21 starts in 2023. He has been one of baseball's best pitchers when healthy.

Margot is also in the final year of his current contract, which includes a $12 million team option with a $2 million buyout for 2025. He can play all 3 outfield spots and is a glove first outfielder. He can form a platoon as a righty bat who can hit lefty pitchers well.

Last season, Margot fell just short of 100 games played due to injury. He ended the season with a .264/.310/.376 slash line with a 91 OPS+, hitting 4 home runs and 21 doubles with 38 RBI's in 99 games. Margot picked up just one hit in 6 at bats and 7 plate appearances over two games in the playoffs for the Rays.

Coming back to the Rays is Pepiot, who has played parts of two seasons in the majors. Pepiot posted a 2.14 ERA, 4.18 FIP, and 0.762 WHIP, averaging 1.5 home runs per 9 innings and 8.1 strikeouts per 9 over 3 starts, 5 relief appearances, and 42 innings pitched.

Deluca is an outfield prospect who made his major league debut in 2023. He was ranked outside of the Dodgers top 30 prospects. In the majors, he had a .262/.311/.429 slash line, hitting two home runs and one double with 6 RBI's in 24 games.

Glasnow joins a Dodgers rotation that includes Walker Buehler, Bobby Miller, and Tony Gonsolin, with Dustin May, Emmet Sheehan, Ryan Yarbrough, and Gavin Stone in the mix. Margot joins an outfield group that features Mookie Betts, Jason Heyward, James Outman, and Chris Taylor. With the Rays, Deluca has a chance to make the opening day roster, while Pepiot joins a rotation that has plenty of options, with Zach Eflin, Aaron Civale, Zack Littell, Taj Bradley, and Shane Baz. Jeffrey Springs and Drew Rasmussen are expected to return around midseason from their injuries.
