It's time for another tour in Georgia. The Atlanta Braves and OF Adam Duvall have agreed to a one year, $3 million contract, according to an announcement by the team.

Duvall is coming back for his 3rd stint with the team in his career. His first run with the Braves came from the second half of 2018 through the 2020 season. After starting 2021 with the Miami Marlins, he was traded to the Braves at the trade deadline and was in Atlanta through 2022. After signing elsewhere in 2023, he's back in Atlanta after hitting free agency in the offseason.

In 2021, Duvall was part of a series of trade deadline additions by the Braves as they redid their outfield. They also brought in Joc Pederson, Eddie Rosario, and Jorge Soler as they ended up winning the World Series in 6 games against the Houston Astros.

Last season, Duvall wore a Boston Red Sox uniform after signing a one year deal with the team. He ended the year with a .247/.303/.531 slash line with a 119 OPS+, blasting 21 home runs while adding 24 doubles and 58 RBI's in 92 games.

Duvall has played for the Braves, Red Sox, Marlins, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants over 10 years in the majors. He has a .232/.291/.472 slash line with a 99 OPS+ to his name, hitting 161 doubles, 184 home runs, and 536 RBI's in 922 games. He has a .200/.247/.400 slash line with 5 home runs and 18 RBI's in 27 playoff games.

The signing of Duvall comes in the wake of the struggles of new addition Jarred Kelenic this spring, as Kelenic was the everyday left field option for the Braves. Kelenic has gone 3-34 with 4 walks and no extra base hits this spring. Duvall gives the Braves another piece of outfield depth and a platoon situation in left with Kelenic.

Atlanta has brought in Duvall, Kelenic, Chris Sale, Aaron Bummer, and Reynaldo Lopez as they look to bounce back from two straight NLDS losses to the Philadelphia Phillies. They also extended relievers Pierce Johnson and Joe Jimenez while adding depth players in David Fletcher and Luis Guillorme.
