Anyone up for a lot of offense? Manny Machado homered, Jake Cronenworth drove in 4 runs, and the San Diego Padres defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 15-11 victory Thursday in Seoul.

The second game of the Korea series was full of firepower from the lineups of both teams. Only two of the Padres original starting 9 didn't drive in a run as they bounced back from a loss to the Dodgers in the first game. They scored 5 in the first and 4 in the 3rd to take an early lead they didn't give up.

San Diego manager Mike Shildt said of the win "A lot of courage, a lot of toughness, a lot of fight. To have that kind of game, especially after coming back from a tough one yesterday, to come back and fight like we did tonight, and keep going when they kept coming back at us like a heavyweight fight, winning feels good, it does. A big identity game for our group. We talk about that a lot."

Cronenworth hit a two run triple, Ha-Seong Kim had a run scoring sac fly, Luis Campusano had an RBI double, and Tyler Wade had an RBI single in the top of the first. Will Smith hit an RBI double in the bottom of the first and Shohei Ohtani drove in a run on a sac fly in the second to make it 5-2 Padres after two.

Xander Bogaerts hit a two run single, Jackson Merrill scored on an error, and Cronenworth hit a sac fly in the top of the 3rd to make it 9-2 Padres. In the bottom of the 3rd, the Dodgers cut it to 9-4 on a two run Mookie Betts double, an RBI single by Jason Heyward, and an RBI groundout from James Outman. Cronenworth made it 10-4 in the top of the 5th with an RBI single.

Betts hit a two run home run in the bottom of the 5th to cut the Dodgers deficit to 10-6. Campusano hit an RBI double in the 6th and Bogaerts scored in the 7th on an error to make it 12-6 Padres. Will Smith hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 7th and a two run Betts single in the 8th made it 12-11 before Machado broke it open in the 9th with a 3 run home run.

Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr said after the game that "It was crazy. My legs are barking right now. But it was a great game. I feel like we answered back every single time. We never felt down, we never felt out of the game. This win definitely set the tone for the rest of the season."

Joe Musgrove allowed 5 runs in his start for the Padres, lasting just 2 2/3 innings. Tom Cosgrove allowed one run finishing the 3rd before Michael King got the win by allowing 3 runs in 3 1/3 innings. Yuki Matsui, Stephen Kolek, and Robert Suarez closed the game out, with Suarez getting the save.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto made his major league debut for the Dodgers, allowing 5 runs and only lasting one inning. Michael Grove allowed 4 runs in two innings before Kyle Hurt allowed a run in two innings. Alex Vesia worked an inning, Ryan Yarbrough pitched 1 2/3 innings, JP Feyereisen worked an inning, and Gus Varland got the final out.

Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts said of the loss that "On the pitching side, it just wasn’t very good. Across the board, we just didn’t execute. 10 walks in there. And defensively, we weren’t good either. You’re just not going to prevent runs that way."

The Padres next regular season game is at home against the San Francisco Giants on March 28, opening day for the rest of baseball. The Dodgers play host to the St. Louis Cardinals that day as well.
