What a way to end this game. Kyle Tucker homered twice, Jeremy Pena had the game winning hit, and the Houston Astros defeated the Los Angeles Angels with a 6-5 victory in extra innings Tuesday night in Houston.

Having lost the first game of the series 9-7, the Astros rallied to win the middle game thanks to some heroics from Pena, keeping the series up for grabs. Jon Singleton drove in two runs for the Astros, as did Tucker, who hit a pair of solo home runs. He has 4 home runs and 8 RBI's in his last 9 games.

Tucker said of his hot streak that "I feel good. I just try and put together good at-bats and be pretty selective up there and take my walks and try to do damage when they throw it over the plate. I think I’ve been doing a pretty good job with that, and I think us, as a whole, have been doing a pretty good job with that."

Luis Rengifo got the Angels on the board early, hitting a two run home run in the top of the first to make it 2-0 Angels. The Astros quickly tied the game in the bottom of the inning on solo home runs from Tucker and Yordan Alvarez. In the 4th inning, the Angels took a 4-2 lead on an RBI double from Zach Neto and an RBI single from Rengifo.

Singleton tied the game back up for the Astros in the 6th, making it 4-4 on a two run home run to center field. Kevin Pillar hit a solo home run for the Angels in the top of the 7th before Tucker answered in the bottom of the inning to make it a 5-5 game. In the 10th, Tucker scored on Pena's single to give the Astros the walk off win.

Cristian Javier allowed 4 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings in his start for the Astros. Tayler Scott pitched two scoreless innings before Bryan Abreu allowed a run in the 7th. Ryan Pressly pitched a scoreless 8th before Josh Hader delivered two scoreless innings to get the win.

Griffin Canning pitched 5 innings in his start for the Angels, allowing a pair of runs. Carson Fulmer allowed two runs in 1 1/3 innings, Luis Garcia allowed one in 2/3 of an inning, and Carlos Estevez got the loss in the 10th. Matt Moore and Hunter Strickland had scoreless outings.

Angels manager Ron Washington said of the loss that "We put ourselves in position to win, but they got it. They beat us tonight. It wasn't like we kicked the ball all over the place and made mistakes and stuff like that. It was a solid ballgame. Somebody had to win, and in the end they got us."

The series finale is on Wednesday afternoon. With both teams going for the series win, Hunter Brown is the starting pitcher for the Astros against Tyler Anderson of the Angels.
