The best team in baseball is flexing its muscles. Kody Clemens homered and drove in 4 runs, Bryce Harper hit a grand slam, and the Philadelphia Phillies routed the Toronto Blue Jays 10-1 Tuesday night in Philadelphia.

Clemens and Harper combined to drive in 8 of the 10 runs scored by the Phillies, who improved to 26-11 as they currently have the most wins in baseball. They won their 7th game in a row in the process and their 11th straight at home.

Nick Castellanos gave the Phillies an early lead in this one, scoring Harper with an RBI double to left field. Clemens stepped to the plate one inning later and blasted a two run home run to right field, tripling the Phillies lead to 3-0. In the 4th inning, Clemens hit an RBI triple that scored Edmundo Sosa to make it 4-0 Phillies.

Later in the 4th, Harper cleared the loaded bases with a grand slam to right field, doubling the lead and breaking the game open to make it 8-0. Isiah Kiner-Falefa got the Blue Jays on the board in the 7th with an RBI groundout. In the 8th inning, Sosa hit an RBI triple and Clemens added an RBI groundout to make it a 10-1 final score.

Harper said of Clemens' 4 RBI game that "He's a stud, man. You look at a lot of the really good teams in the league, they have depth. If that’s starting pitching depth, if that’s infield, hitting or anything. I think a lot of really good teams have it. I think Dombrowski has done a great job of building a roster and making sure we have those pieces and that depth in the Minor Leagues."

Getting the start on the mound for the Phillies was Cristopher Sanchez, who allowed one run on 6 hits while striking out 5 hitters in 7 innings pitched to get the win. Spencer Turnbull pitched the final two innings in relief to seal the win.

It was Jose Berrios who started for the Blue Jays, getting tagged for 8 runs on 7 hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings. Trevor Richards pitched 1 1/3 innings before Genesis Cabrera and Zach Pop each threw a scoreless inning. Tim Mayza allowed two runs and Erik Swanson had a scoreless appearance.

Berrios said of his rocky start that "Outings like this one are going to come, but we want to flush it and turn the page. But also, I have to learn from what I did wrong and make adjustments for the next one."

The series wraps up Wednesday afternoon. The Phillies will go for the sweep behind Aaron Nola on the mound while the Blue Jays try to salvage the finale with Chris Bassitt getting the start.
