Hey Siri, here's a win. Jose Siri hit two home runs, Richie Palacios drove in the game winning run, and the Tampa Bay Rays rallied to defeat the Oakland Athletics 6-5 in extra innings Thursday afternoon in St. Petersburg.

After losing the series opener, the Rays picked up their second walk off win in as many days, winning the series against the A's. This one took 12 innings, with the Rays handing dominant Oakland closer Mason Miller his first blown save.

Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash said of the win that "You’re going to create energy when you play tight games and find ways to win them. Everybody played a role to allow us to get this done. That’s kind of the way we’re built. We’ve got a lot of hitters who might not be in the starting lineup on a nightly basis, but they can come up and have the biggest at-bat of the game."

Isaac Paredes gave the Rays an early 2-0 lead, hitting a two run home run to left field in the first inning. Siri added a solo home run in the second inning to make it a 3-0 game. The A's scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning, taking a 4-3 lead on a Brent Rooker RBI double, Miguel Andujar RBI single, and Shea Langeliers hitting a two run home run.

The score stayed that way until the 9th, when Siri tied the game 4-4 on a solo homer to left field, his second of the night. The A's took a 5-4 lead in the top of the 10th on an RBI single before Jose Caballero scored in the bottom of the 10th to tie the game. In the 12th, Palacios singled home Caballero to give the Rays the win.

Siri said of his 9th inning home run off Miller that "He throws between 100 and 103 miles an hour, so I was trying to stay as short as I could. We all know he throws hard. I was just trying to connect however I could."

Shawn Armstrong was a two inning opener for the Rays before Tyler Alexander allowed 4 runs in 4 2/3 innings. Kevin Kelly worked 1 1/3 innings before Phil Maton, Pete Fairbanks, Garrett Cleavinger, and Richard Lovelady all pitched an inning, with Fairbanks the only one to allow a run.

Hogan Harris got the start for the Athletics, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 5 2/3 innings. Michael Kelly finished the 6th before Scott Alexander and Austin Adams delivered scoreless innings. Miller blew the save in the 9th and gave up two runs in two innings. Tyler Ferguson worked 1 1/3 innings and TJ McFarland was on the mound for the walkoff.

Oakland manager Mark Kotsay said after the game that "After last night, it was a tough loss, they bounced back today and showed their fight. I think this group is resilient. They've got some fight to them. We're headed to Atlanta. It’s a tough series in front of us, so we'll see how we bounce back tomorrow."

The A's are off to Atlanta to take on the Atlanta Braves over the weekend, with JP Sears set to start the series opener. The Rays travel to Baltimore for a showdown against the Baltimore Orioles as Aaron Civale starts the opening game Friday night.
