The kids in Milwaukee are doing just fine. Jackson Chourio hit an inside the park home run, Andruw Monasterio had the game winning hit, and the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Texas Rangers with a 6-5 victory Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee.

With the win, the Brewers now have wins in 6 of their last 10 games, improving to 15 games above .500 at 48-33. They also secured a sweep of the defending champion Rangers, thanks in no small part due to the 20 year old Chourio's inside the parker.

Nathaniel Lowe gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead in the second inning, hitting a single to left field that scored Adolis Garcia. In the 3rd inning, Jake Bauers gave the Brewers a 4-1 lead with a grand slam to center field. In the 4th inning, Lowe cut into the deficit for the Rangers by hitting a two run homer to center field, making it 4-3.

Later in the inning, Jonah Heim hit a solo home run to center field and Robbie Grossman added an RBI single, putting the Rangers ahead by a 5-4 score. In the bottom of the 4th, Chourio tied it 5-5 with his inside the park home run, also to center field. It stayed 5-5 until the 10th, when Monasterio singled to score Willy Adames and give the Brewers the win.

Brewers pitcher Dallas Keuchel said of Chourio's inside the parker that "To be honest, I was dissecting a few of my last pitches on the iPad, and all of a sudden we hear the crowd roar. We look up, and he’s just scootin’ past second base. As the crowd got louder, I was like, ‘This is an inside-the-parker.' Sure enough, it tied the game up. That’s kind of what he brings."

Keuchel was making his Brewers debut and season MLB debut with the start, allowing 5 runs in 4 innings. Jakob Junis pitched two scoreless innings in relief before Bryan Hudson, Joel Payamps, Trevor Megill, and Jared Koenig held the Rangers offense scoreless.

Nathan Eovaldi was charged with 5 runs in his start for the Rangers, getting through 7 innings as well. David Robertson handled a scoreless 8th inning and Kirby Yates did the same in the 9th before Jacob Latz allowed the walk off hit to Monasterio in the 10th inning.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said of getting swept that "We were in all three of these games. ittle things got us today. We did swing the bats better and that’s always a great sign but the Brewers are good and they play well. But we could have won every one of these games, we feel like."

The Rangers jump into action on Thursday, starting a series against the Baltimore Orioles with Jon Gray starting the series opener. The Brewers have a day off before starting a series against the Chicago Cubs on Friday, with Colin Rea lined up to start.
